Rashid is a doctoral candidate in Agricultural Economics at the University of Hohenheim, supported by the DAAD Scholarship. He is also a recipient of the Ford Foundation International Fellowship for his contributions to community development and environmental work. His research focuses on sustainability-enhancing innovation in agriculture, particularly how digital technologies and climate-smart practices drive resilience and sustainability in India and Uganda. Rashid has over 10 years of experience in agricultural development, natural resource management, corporate social responsibility, and rural development, working with institutions such as IIM Udaipur, Ernst & Young, the Indian Institute of Forest Management, and the Foundation for Ecological Security. He holds an M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from Clark University, USA, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development from the Xavier Institute of Social Service, India. His expertise includes qualitative research, project management, GIS, and interdisciplinary research in natural resource management, agriculture, and rural development."
