George Woode is from Ghana and has been a doctoral researcher at the Division of Social and Institutional Change in Agriculture Development since October 2018. The Food Security Center of the University of Hohenheim supported his PhD program. He has over 20 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and adaptive management across international development projects. He has held key roles in USAID projects, including as a Collaborating Learning and Adopting Advisor for the USAID/West Africa Economic Growth Office Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) platform. He was also the Senior Learning Advisor for the USAID Ghana MEL Platform. He served as MEL/Knowledge Management Director for USAID/Quality Services for Health. Additionally, he was the M&E Manager for the USDA/Ghana Poultry Project and the M&E team lead for the USAID/Systems for Health Project, overseeing surveys, assessments, and capacity-building initiatives. His expertise spans data analysis, adaptive management, and stakeholder collaboration. George holds a Master’s degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Hohenheim, a Bachelor's degree in Economics, and a Diploma in Statistics from the University of Ghana.
