World Food Day Event “Building Sustainable and Resilient Agri-Food Systems” on October 16, 2024   [11.10.24]

Public event to celebrate World Food Day with Ceremony for the Justus-von-Liebig Award for World Nutrition to Dr. Agnes Kalibata (9:00-17:00, Balcony Hall, Hohenheim Palace)

You are cordially invited to attend the World Food Day Event, which will be held on October 16 at the University of Hohenheim to celebrate the international World Food Day. The topic of the event is “Building Sustainable and Resilient Agri-Food Systems.” Internationally renowned speakers, including the Director General of International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), will address the question of how sustainable and resilient agri-food systems can be promoted. The CEO of Welthungerhilfe will present the “World Hunger Index 2024”. The event also features young perspectives on the future of the agri-food systems. A special highlight of the World Food Day Event 2024 is the ceremony for the Justus-von-Liebig Award for World Nutrition of the Fiat Panis Foundation to Dr. Agnes Kalibata, President of the renowned African agricultural organization AGRA.

Date: Wednesday, October 16, 9:00-17:00, followed by a networking reception up to 18:30).
